The interests of the Principality of Liechtenstein are represented before the International Court of Justice by the Special Commissioner and Agent Dr. Alexander Goepfert. During the proceedings, the Düsseldorf-based attorney-at-law will have the status of an ambassador representing the State of Liechtenstein. The Special Commissioner and Agent will be supported by a distinguished panel of legal advisors.

The Principality of Liechtenstein has appointed a number of leading experts in international law as its counsels: Professor Dr. Dieter Blumenwitz, Professor Dr. Thomas Bruha, Professor Dr. James Crawford, Professor Dr. Gerhard Hafner and Professor Alain Pellet. They will be advising the Agent and supporting him as he prepares the documentation and legal arguments to be used in the case brought before the International Court of Justice.
